It is very important that children arrive at school on time – no sooner than 8.30am and no later than 8.45am. A child will be recorded as being ‘late’ if they arrive into the classroom after 8.55 am.
Key Stage 2 children can arrive at school via their classroom door from 8.30am. If it is wet in the morning, Key Stage 1 children may come in without lining up from 8.30am onwards.
It is very important that your child attends school regularly. If your child is unable to attend school for any reason you should phone our school before 9.00am on 840930 so that the absence can be authorised on the first day of absence.
Under no circumstances may children go out of school by themselves during school hours. Parents who collect children to go to the doctor, dentist etc, must report to reception, sign the pupil out while your child is collected from their classroom.
We encourage appointments to be made out of school hours wherever possible. School monitors the attendance of each child. Where attendance becomes an issue in the first instance parents will be contacted by the Headteacher. If this does not improve, a meeting will take place with the school attendance panel as means of providing support and improving your child’s attendance.
