This year we intend on using the budget to:
In recent years, the money was spent on purchasing a climbing wall, which is now located next to the KS1 playground. This resource has improved our provision of outdoor education within PE. The EYFS outdoor learning area, KS1 and KS2 playgrounds have had new playground lines installed. We have recently installed two football goals with netball targets on the KS1 playground. This has supported the school’s extra-curricular netball club, invasion games delivery within PE and provided KS1 children the opportunity to lead healthy lifestyles during break times. We also renewed equipment and enrolled staff on up-to-date training courses to improve their subject knowledge. We have continued to offer a wide range of extra-curricular sporting clubs as a result we have continued to participate in the various different school sporting competitions.
Recent achievements within PE and School Sport include the ‘Platinum Award’ 2018 and 2019-20 Kitemark. The school has recently been recognised as ‘Furness Team of the Year 2019’ by the Furness SGO at the local schools’ awards evening.
Below is a table for the 2019-20 Year 6 class attainment in swimming:
